February 11th, 2020 – The Canadian Medical Association (CMA), the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) have released their joint recommendations for the enabling and expansion of virtual care implementations in Canada, in the form of a Virtual Care Task Force (VCTF) report, distilled from nearly a year’s worth of analysis. The report, Virtual care: Recommendations for scaling up virtual medical services, outlines 19 recommendations for creating a pan-Canadian approach to the virtualization of health services.

Dr. Yanick Beaulieu, CEO of Innovative Imaging Technologies, was one of three participating panelists at the VCTF report release event in Ottawa, along with Julie Drury, patient’s voice representative, and Dr. Ed Brown, CEO of the Ontario Telemedicine Network.
