Montreal’s Sacré-Coeur Hospital (HSCM) held the third edition of DIVA training (International Diploma in Artificial Ventilation) from June 10th to 13th.

This training included participants from Europe and Canada, and addressed respiratory therapists and nurses, as well as other clinical staff in critical care. Experts from Quebec’s HSCM Intensive Care Services, New Brunswick’s Edmundston Regional Hospital and a group of French experts were involved in the design and delivery of the DIVA artificial ventilation courses. The French officials responsible for the DIVA training content are Professors Laurent Brochard, international authority on invasive and non-invasive ventilation, University of Creteil, Alain Mercat, University of Angers and Jean-Christophe Richard, University of Rouen. All are intensivists and researchers with several scientific publications on artificial ventilation.
