During the 6th annual Western University Critical Care Ultrasound Course, Dr. Yanick Beaulieu performed an interactive Reacts session on the focused cardiac ultrasound exam in front of a live audience. The course was hosted by Dr. Rob Arntfield, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Western University, and a team of ultrasound experts. During the Reacts session, Dr Beaulieu reviewed the basic echocardiographic views using various images and 3D animations. Dr Beaulieu then got the audience involved by asking them about image interpretation while he performed a live bedside echo exam from the intensive care unit of Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal.

The 2 day course, directed by Dr. Arntfield, was held on August 20th-21st, 2015 at University Hospital in London, Ontario, and is the largest, most comprehensive course of its kind offered in Canada. It is ideal for any clinician involved in resuscitation, such as intensivists, emergency physicians, general internists and anesthesiologists.
